"Leeward Shore" Limited Edition Poster, 16"x19"
“Leeward Shore” was captured by Alison Langley at Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, an annual rendezvous of classic yachts, first run twenty-six years ago as La Nioulargue. Here, the wind fills the spinnaker of the William Fife design Tuiga, creating a disturbance pattern on the water, which is accented by the rocks of the leeward shoreline. Tuiga is a 15M IRC class yacht designed and built by William Fife in 1909, at the request of the Duke of Medinacelli, a close friend of the King of Spain, Alphonse XIII. Tuiga is now the flagship for her current owners, the Yacht Club de Monaco.
